Allison Barnett Joins Platinum Advisors Growing Sacramento Lobbying Team

SACRAMENTO, CA – Today, Platinum Advisors announced that Allison Barnett would be joining the firm’s Sacramento lobbying team where she will focus on government relations strategies involving some of the nation’s leading healthcare companies.

Most recently, Barnett served as Senior Director of Government Relations at Health Net of California, a subsidiary of Centene Corporation, where she led the company’s state government relations efforts in California. In that role, she was responsible for overseeing a team of lobbyists, managing relationships with state and local government officials, and acting as the primary liaison between the company and key stakeholders, including legislators, state agencies, and healthcare advocates.

Prior to her role at Health Net, Barnett was the Associate Director of State Government Affairs at Novartis Pharmaceuticals, where she managed lobbying efforts in California, Nevada, Arizona, and Hawaii. She chaired the PhRMA Task Force in California and held board positions with both the California Manufacturers and Technology Association and the Arizona Bio Industry Association.

Barnett has also held leadership positions at Anthem, Inc. (now Elevance Health) and the California Dental Association, where she honed her expertise in lobbying for the commercial and specialty markets, as well as advocating for policies related to affordable housing and construction lending.
